Chattanooga Red Wolves SC drew FC Tucson 1-1 at David Stanton Field Saturday night. Veteran forward Eamon Zayed leveled the match in the 69th minute, mere seconds after being subbed onto the pitch.

Tucson’s Kyle Venter opened scoring in the first minute, finishing a right-footed shot from the center of the box following a corner kick. Both teams would create chances throughout the first half, but the score would remain 1-0 going into halftime.

It wasn’t until the 69th minute that the Red Wolves finally struck. Seconds after being subbed on, Eamon Zayed headed one home to put the Red Wolves on the board. Vangjel Zguro sent in an out swinging corner into the box that found Steven Beattie’s head. Beattie then nodded the ball on to Zayed who fired it into the top left corner of the net. The goal is Zayed’s fourth of the season.

The Week 18 result marks Chattanooga’s third consecutive draw and extends the team’s unbeaten run to nine matches.
