Chattanooga officer to be honored at Bristol Motor Speedway for saving baby
The Chattanooga police officer who was flagged down by a couple when their baby had breathing complications back in March was recognized on Wednesday for his heroic effort.
Officer Joseph Coleman will be among several 2019 Neighborhood Heroes who will be honored at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 17.
Wednesday, representatives from Bristol Motor Speedway honored Coleman for coming to the aid of baby Lakelynn.
Lakelynn was 3 months old when her parents, Misty Hunter and James Durham, flagged down Officer Coleman because their child was having trouble breathing.
Coleman will be honored in front of thousands of people who are expected to be at Bristol Motor Speedway before the race begins.
