Mom saves toddler from drowning at home in Rhea County
The Rhea County Sheriff’s Department says a toddler was saved from a pool at a home in Evensville on Wednesday.
Detective Rocky Potter tells Channel 3, a 2-year-old fell into a pool at a home on Evensville Mountain Road.
Detective Potter says the child’s mother pulled the toddler from the pool and performed CPR.
The child was conscious and alert when deputies and EMS arrived at the scene.
Detective Potter says the toddler was taken to a local hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
Potter says the Department of Children’s Services has been notified of the incident.
