Local funeral home owner charged with felony tax evasion
A local funeral home owner was indicted and arrested on charges of tax evasion.
On Monday, Cade Coulter Williamson, president of Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, was indicted by Hamilton County Grand Jury and charged with 14 counts of tax evasion.
Tax evasion is considered a Class E felony in the state of Tennessee and can be punishable by a prison sentence and fines up to $3,000 for each count.
After the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted an investigation, department agents arrested Williamson at Legacy Funeral Home. Williamson's bond was set at $10,000.
