UPDATE: Chattanooga police have arrested a suspect in a shooting on Reece Alley on Monday.

Police say 18-year-old Dewayne Oneal Lawery is charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

Lawery is accused of shooting a 33-year-old man in the 2600 block of Reece Alley around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the victim was shot multiple times and taken to a local hospital where his condition is unknown.

Lawery is being held at the Hamilton County Jail on a $140,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Chattanooga police have identified the suspect involved in the shooting on Reece Alley Monday evening.

Police say the suspect is 18-year-old Dewayne Oneal Lawery. 

Warrants were obtained for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

They say the victim of the shooting is a 33-year-old male who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 2600 block off Dodds Avenue and E. 18th Street.

Police spokesperson Trevor Tomas confirms that one person has been shot.

The victim's name and condition have not been released.
