The wet pattern is with us through next week. Newest data shows the best rain chances in the afternoon and evening, for our counties in Tennessee. This is a change from yesterday. Lightning, heavy rain, and brief strong wind gusts will be possible. Rainfall totals through tonight, of 1" to 1.5" possible through 10PM. Temperatures over the weekend stay slightly below the normal high of 90 this weekend. Night time lows continue to be 2-5 degrees above normal too. On Monday and Tuesday, the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry will track into the TN Valley. This means, showers and storms, and a steady wind will be increasing, especially for those west of Chattanooga in the higher elevations of Monteagle and Altamont. Depending on the track of the low next week, this will change, but it looks like the breeze picks up by Monday.

By Thursday, the remnants of Barry lift north and east of the TN Valley, leaving small rain chances by the end of next week. Temperatures will start to heat back up with temperatures in the mid 90s by next Friday.
