In their eleven seasons, the boys in blue have now captured eight NPSL Southeast Conference regular season titles. They've been to the national final on four occasions coming home empty handed all four times.

This is CFC's last season in the NPSL they're accustomed to as they prepare to turn pro with the NPSL Founders Cup beginning in August. In other words, it's their last chance to grab the NPSL national title before they make the jump.

In order for them to start the Founders Cup in August the team had to play a larger number of games in a shorter amount of days. For example, their NPSL regular season began on May 18th an concluded this past Saturday, July 6th. In those 28 days, CFC played 12 games.

That being said, they relied heavily on their bench that has been a big reason they took home their eighth Southeast Conference regular season title. They'll need that depth even more as their playoff run begins.

"If we win, we got to play again Saturday. If we win that, we have to play again Tuesday. You can't get through at a high level of sports or stretches like that without a deep team. So, the recruitment of the team and trying to create depth was important to us," head coach Bill Elliott said.

"This year our bench is like, there's players that don't even make the roster that would have started last year. The depth this year is unbelievable. The coaches have done a great job recruiting and bringing in amazing players. It's amazing, to see everyone get in and when they do, they contribute," goalkeeper Phil D'Amico said.
