Authorities investigate AAMU student death
Officials with Alabama A&M University are investigating the death of one of their students.
The university police department got the call Monday night that 32-year-old Deloi Cook of Talladega was found in the Normal Hills Apartments just before 9 p.m.
Officials tell us Cook was working on her master’s degree as a communications specialist. Her family has been notified.
“The investigation is ongoing, but there is absolutely no reason to suspect anything but natural causes at this time,” adds AAMU police chief Carlisle.
Counselors will be available to those affected.
