Lady Red Wolves score three unanswered to win Southeast Conference title
The Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves brought a 7-0 record at home into their Southeastern Conference final match against the Nashville Rhythm. The She Wolves only loss of the season came at the hands of the Rhythm on the road back in May.
Early on and into the second half it looked as if Nashville would hand Chattanooga their second loss as they went up 2-0 in the 60th minute.
Eleven minutes later Hollie Massey would cut the Rhythm's lead in half with a goal in the 71st to keep the Lady Red Wolves alive.
The equalizer would come from the foot of Carli Banks in the 83rd on a beautiful strike from outside the box and the She Wolves started to really gain momentum.
They would receive a penalty kick in the 87th minute with Brittney Reed hammering it home to complete the comeback. Chattanooga wins the Southeast Conference title with a 3-2 win over Nashville.
They'll now advance to the WPSL 16-team national bracket. They'll play next Saturday. When and where is still to be determined.
