Good Friday!  More of the same heat and humidity will take us into the weekend.  This afternoon we will hit 94 for the high, but the heat index will hang out between 98 and 102.  We can also expect scattered thunderstorms to pop up producing heavy rain and lots of lightning.  A few storms may produce some minor wind damage.

The weekend will widespread coverage of the thunderstorms.  The high pressure keeping storms to a minimum is relaxing a bit, and a weak front will stir things up Saturday and Sunday.  Expect storms on and off both days of the weekend with highs in the low 90s.  The humidity will remain high with dew points in the 70s, and heat index values in the upper 90s.

Next week we will settle into a pattern of highs in the low 90s, heat index near 100, and spotty storms each afternoon.
