There will be a few pop-up summertime storms through about 8PM this evening. These will be isolated, and most people will remain dry. Temperatures will be hot, staying in the low 90s in Chattanooga until about 6 or 7:00PM. 

Overnight, a wave of rain will arrive from the north, weakening as it approaches our area. From about 11PM to 3AM, there may be a few isolated showers or storms. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s and low 70s.

The summertime weather pattern will continue for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Each day will have highs from 90-94 for most in the area, and the heat index will range from 95-99, potentially reaching 100. There will be isolated afternoon and evening pop-up storms (20%). The biggest threats with these will be gusty wind and pockets of heavy rain.

July 4th on Thursday will continue to be hot with highs in the low-90s and partly sunny. It will feel like 96-100 with the humidity. Storm chances will slightly increase for Thursday afternoon and evening compared to earlier in the week with scattered development. Storms should be done by 8:30PM, meaning fireworks shows at dark will be fine.

Friday and Saturday will have more scattered storms with highs around 90 and partly sunny.
