UPDATE: A car reported to have been carjacked was spotted early Thursday morning and led police on a chase across the city.

About 3:40am, a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted a vehicle near Lee Highway and Bonny Oaks Drive that matched the description of a stolen vehicle on a BOLO message from Chattanooga Police that the vehicle was stolen during an armed carjacking.

That message said the suspect in the vehicle was armed, according to a HCSO spokesman.

The deputy tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled in the vehicle and the chase began.

The chase ended when the suspect crashed into the concrete wall on Interstate 24 West near the ridge cut.

HCSO deputies were able to take two suspects in custody without incident.
