UPDATE: Victim in Ooltewah shooting dies
UPDATE: Hamilton County deputies confirm the the victim connected to a recent shooting has died from his injuries.
The shooting happened Tuesday on Heatherloch Lane in Ooltewah. John Dee Haynes, Jr. died from his injuries days after he was taken to the hospital.
PREVIOUS STORY: Twenty-one-year-old Tyler Reid, who is accused of shooting a man Tuesday morning, has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.
The shooting happened at 2:00 Tuesday morning on Heatherloch Lane in Ooltewah.
The victim, 24-year-old John Dee Hayes, Jr., is still in the hospital.
Reid's preliminary hearing is set for July 1st.
PREVIOUS STORY: The suspect in the shooting has been identified as 21-year-old Tyler Reid, and he is currently at the Hamilton County Jail waiting to be booked on an Attempted First Degree Murder charge.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old John Dee Hayes, Jr., who is still be treating at a local hospital for a gunshot wound which is believed to be life-threatening.

The shooting happened at 2:00 Tuesday morning on Heatherloch Lane.
So far, deputies have detained one male suspect. The victim, who is also a male, was taken to a local hospital via Hamilton County EMS.
His condition or the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
