Jack Nicklaus is the golfer of a generation, winning 18 major championships. Fitting that men from that same era battled on a course he designed for the 2019 Tennessee Senior and Super Senior Match Play Championship.

In the senior division the final four went off early this morning with two-time defending champion Tim Jackson taking on Bob Rice and Signal Mtn. native Scott Patton taking on Danny Green.

Jackson and Patton would come away victorious to set up the afternoon championship match.

Jackson was 2-up heading into the 16th hole before a bogey gave Patton life.

Heading into the par-5 17th, Jackson would put his third shot within five feet of the hole. After Patton missed his birdie attempt, Jackson would make his to capture his 22nd TGA event and third straight match play championship.

Tony Green took home the super senior title earlier in the day.

Winning his 22nd event isn't the highlight of Jackson's day on Friday though. He had to cut the trophy presentation a little short to head down to Birmingham where his youngest son is proposing to his girlfriend.

Congratulations to the 2019 Tennessee Senior and Super Senior Match Play champions, Tim Jackson and Tony Green!
