UPDATE:  For the rest of the afternoon into the first part of the evening, it will be quiet with clouds clearing. It will be hot and muggy with "feels like" temperatures in the low to mid-90s for Chattanooga and areas to the south.

Then, for tonight, we will have a chance for more scattered storms from about 8PM to 11PM EDT moving from the NW to SE. Once again a few of these storms have a chance to be strong to severe with the biggest threat being damaging winds. Overnight, lows will be mild in the upper 60s to low 70s.

 

For Sunday, highs will be in the low 90s with a mix of sun and clouds. It will be humid with the Heat Index from 95-97 degrees. Please, be aware of the heat for any outdoor activities. Additionally, we will have a few more scattered showers and storms. The area is under a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) for isolated storms to become strong to severe.

Scattered PM storm chances continue for Monday with a partly cloudy sky and highs around 90. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s and isolated showers and storms.

By Wednesday and Thursday, it will be drier and mostly sunny. Only an isolated chance for storms each day with highs around 90.

The chance for storms increases again to scattered for Friday and Saturday with highs remaining around 90 both days.
