A hot start to summer
Good Friday! Summer officially starts today at 11:54am, and right on schedule we will crank up the thermostat a bit with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s this afternoon. While the humidity will be a LITTLE lower, dew points will still be in the 60s, and it will still feel humid through most of the day. I can't rule out a thunderstorm or two popping up, but they will be few and far between with most folks getting no rain at all today. If a storm does pop up, it will again be capable of producing damaging winds and small hail.
Saturday we will reach a muggy high of 92, and scattered thunderstorms will move in during the afternoon from the north.
Sunday will be about the same with a high of 91, and 1 or 2 afternoon storms.
Next week we will start with highs near 90 and a few afternoon storms on Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week will sport highs in the low 90s with little chance of rain.
