UPDATE: Woman charged with attempted murder after Shallowford Road shooting
UPDATE: A Chattanooga has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after police say she shot another woman.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon on Shallowford Road. The arrest affidavit explains that Tanisha Suttles got into a verbal disagreement with another woman at a gas station, where police say Suttle pulled out a silver handgun and shot the victim.
The victim realized she'd been shot in the head, and went into the gas station to ask them to call the police.
Suttles is also charged with reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting on Shallowford Road on Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 2:15 p.m. in the 5900 block.
CPD spokesperson says one person was taken to a hospital with injuries from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim's name and condition are unknown at this time.
The events leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
