Man arrested and charged for stealing cameras from Bradley County school
Cleveland police were notified about two black bags on the city's Greenway near 20th Street and Parker Street Monday.
When police retrieved the bags, they found several cameras inside with markings that identified them as being from Bradley County Schools.
Officers then went to nearby Ocoee Middle School and found an open door on a classroom and boxes matching some of the cameras in the bags.
Bradley County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives then responded to the school (which is a county school) and collected video and forensic evidence.
During their investigation, detectives were able to identify Randall James Allen as the person responsible for the burglary.
Wednesday, CPD detectives found Allen at his home. He admitted to taking the items from inside the classroom and was taken into custody. He's been charged with burglary and theft over $1,000.
The stolen property was returned to the school.
