Warm Father's Day evening, few isolated storms
Temperatures will remain warm in the mid-80s this evening with a partly sunny sky. Isolated storms will continue to move through our area from the SW to the NE. Individual storm cells are small, but they are producing heavy pockets of rain with gusty wind and lightning.
Overnight will be partly cloudy with mild lows in the upper 60s to 70. A few showers/storms will arrive around midnight into the early morning hours, mainly in our western counties (Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Grundy, Marion in TN and Jackson in AL).
Then, the start of the work week will bring better chances for rain. We will have scattered showers and storms Monday through Thursday. Monday will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Tuesday should be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid-80s. Partly sunny again for Wednesday with highs in the mid-80s. Finally, Thursday will have highs in the mid-80s with likely the best coverage of showers and storms.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be warmer with highs around 90 with only isolated chances for showers and storms.
Total rainfall through next weekend should be 1-2" on average.
