Dunlap firefighters use new equipment to free crash victim from SUV
Dunlap firefighters say new equipment helped them free a driver who was trapped in an SUV because of a crash on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of US-127 and Old Union Road.
Lt. Walker says firefighters were able to free the driver by using new battery powered Hurst Jaws of Life equipment.
The driver of the Jeep was the only person hurt. The driver’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The names of the people involved have not been released.
Lt. Walker says the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, Dunlap Police Department and Puckett EMS also responded to the scene.
