UPDATE: Local Target stores that were affected by a global register outage are back to business as usual on Saturday.

A guest service's spokesperson at Target's Gunbarrel Road and Highway 153 locations says the registers are now working.

Earlier in the day, the stores were two of several locations around the world that were affected by an outage at the cash registers.

ORIGINAL STORY: Target took a global hit on Saturday, including the Gunbarrel Road location.

A guest services spokesperson says the store's registers went down worldwide around 1:45 p.m.

The spokesperson said they do not know what caused the outage or how long it will take for the registers to come back on.

In a tweet, AskTarget said, "We are aware of a systems issue in store and are working as quickly as possible to get this fixed. Thank you for your patience!"
