This evening will be pleasant with winds starting to become lighter after 6 PM. Winds should be calm during the overnight period with low temperatures in the mid-60s. Showers and thunderstorms return on Wednesday. Light showers will be possible after 5 AM for those west of Chattanooga. We will need to watch for rain for the morning commute for those across Marion, Franklin, Sequatchie, Grundy, and Jackson, AL counties.

The better rain and thunderstorm chance increases after 4 PM. There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather on Wednesday evening, mainly from 4PM-9PM. A line of thunderstorms will form, capable of producing damaging winds, heavy rain, and cloud to ground lightning.

Thursday and Friday bring a dry pattern. Thursday night and Friday night looks great to view Jupiter this week, as skies should be clear. Look southeast after dusk. Jupiter will be in the western sky by dawn.
