Chance of severe storms this afternoon, evening with gusty winds, possible hail
This afternoon will be warm and humid with scattered thunderstorms likely developing. There is a marginal risk for severe weather, with gusty winds and small hail the biggest threats. Temps will be in the mid-80s.
The weather pattern continues to change into a very wet pattern. We are going to see occasional showers and thunderstorms throughout the rest of this week and into the weekend. Timing on the showers is tough to forecast. When the rain showers get over your head they could get very heavy at times.
High temperatures will probably be below normal for this period. Highs will be near 80 and lows will be near 70. Rainfall amounts will be at least 2 to 3 inches for the next 6 days. Some spots depending on where the heaviest storms develop will see 3- 5 inches.
We have seen quite a dry pattern for the past 3 weeks, so this will keep the flooding to a minimum. So through the weekend if you live near a creek or a stream keep an eye out for localized flooding!
