Individual cells of showers and storms are developing south of Chattanooga. For the rest of the afternoon into the evening, scattered showers and storms will be possible (30%). Chances are better for N Georgia and NE Alabama. People in Chattanooga and to the north will more likely remain dry.

Each shower/storm will be brief in nature, so total rainfall will be minimal at about 0.1" or less if you do receive rain. A few of these storms may become strong to marginally severe with wind gusts at 45-60mph and hail up to a quarter. If you are a resident of N GA and NE AL with outdoor plans, stay weather aware.

Temperatures will remain warm in the 80s until about 9PM tonight. Then, overnight it will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s outside of the city and about 64 in Chattanooga.

Monday will be more comfortable and seasonable with lower humidity, highs in the low to mid-80s, and mostly sunny. Tuesday will have lower humidity again with slightly warmer temperatures with highs around 88 and partly cloudy.

Wednesday will have more clouds with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s with scattered showers and storms. Scattered showers and storms will continue on Thursday with highs from 85-88.

More widespread rain and storms are expected for Friday and Saturday with highs from 81-85.
