Today, we could finally break the 90s stretch! Temperatures will be above the normal high of 84, but not by much. I'm forecasting 87 for the afternoon high with only a 10% chance for showers from 3PM-8PM. Rainfall amounts will be very light, producing only a trace to a few hundredths of an inch, and mainly north and east of Chattanooga.

Thanks to a northwest wind today too, dew points will be dropping to the middle 50s by the afternoon, making it feel rather comfortable for this last day of May. If you plan on seeing Keith Urban tonight, look for a more comfortable night, with temperatures in the 70s and a light northwest wind. It will be a better night tonight than the last two nights at Riverbend!

The weekend is going to be mainly dry. A few showers look possible on Sunday evening, but trace amounts to 0.10" mainly west of Chattanooga near Franklin and Marion counties.

The first part of next week is trending dry, meanwhile, a change in the pattern look to bring a better rain chance for the end of next week! A preliminary look to next week, showers and a few thunderstorms possible from Wednesday through Friday.

  • 12PM: 80, northwest breeze
