As thousands of people make their way to Riverbend on Wednesday evening, local emergency officials are warning people to prepare for the heat.

Channel Three's Storm Alert Team expects temperatures to reach nearly 90 degrees.

Hamilton County EMS Support Specialist Bob Williams said they will have two tents on-site at Riverbend. He said one will be at the entrance on Chestnut Street and the other will be at the back entrance on Riverfront Parkway.

There will be anywhere from eight to 10 EMS personnel at each tent to assist anyone in need.

Williams said one of the main issues emergency officials deal with is people suffering from dehydration.

"Citizens are encouraged to come by, get a glass of water if there are any needs they have that we can check out for them," Williams said.

If you plan on drinking at the festival, Williams suggests you drink extra water to prevent dehydration.
