Riverbend is set to open for its first night on Wednesday.

While many people are excited about the artists, you can't forget about the festival food.

Public health officials in Hamilton County are making sure all the food companies at Riverbend are in compliance.

According to Lowe Wilkins, program manager for the Hamilton County Health Department, there are anywhere from 30 to 33 vendors this year.

He said they checked each vendor on Wednesday afternoon to make sure they were abiding by all the public health safety regulation.

"We look at the capacity of each facility to maintain refrigeration, to make sure they can basically hold the food hot, and make sure they can wash their hands properly and make sure they know the regulations for the rest of the week they are here," Wilkins said.

Wilkins said health officials will continue to inspect each vendor every night of the festival.
