We're onto the sixth day in a row with highs in the 90s, and it's likely to be this hot for another four-five days.

The forecast today, Memorial Day, May 27, is 95. The record high today is 95, from 1911. We will come close!

The record high tomorrow is 95, from 1962. We'll come within 3 degrees of the record high again tomorrow.

By Wednesday, the record high climbs to 99. I don't see us breaking the record high midweek.

It's also been 11 years since we've reached 95 degrees on Memorial Day, with the last time May 26, 2008.

The last time we reached 94 degrees was eight years ago on May 30, 2011.

Besides the heat, the dry weather continues too. This week only brings an isolated shower on Tuesday afternoon, mainly for those west of Chattanooga near Altamont and Monteagle.

A weak front approaches on Thursday night which will bring a small shower chance through Friday morning. Most however, will remain rain free for the next five-six days!
