Good Friday!  We made it to the Memorial Day weekend, and it is going to be a scorcher.  The stubborn ridge of high pressure continues to pump in hot, muggy air as it also blocks significant rain from moving in.

Today we will reach 92 (the average high is 82).  It will feel like about 96 during the heat of the day.  Also, with heat like this be aware of the surface you and your pets are walking on.  Sidewalk and asphalt temps can climb above 120 degrees with temps like this.

Saturday we will get all the way to 93.  There is a very slight chance for a stray shower Saturday afternoon.  Sunday will see partly cloudy skies with the high reaching a record-tying 94 degrees.  Memorial Day will also tie a record as we soar to 95.

The next chance for any widespread rain will be showers, possibly Thursday morning.
