Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on Wednesday who is accused of pouring boiling bleach on two people and then attacking one of those victims with a hammer.

The incident happened on May 5, at a home on Wilson Street.

Officials say 36-year-old Johnny Dewayne Dortch lived with one of the female victims for two weeks and had a key to the home.

Officials say Dortch found the woman and her next door neighbor sleeping when the attack happened.

The woman and her neighbor’s condition have not been released.

Dortch is charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic assault and especially aggravated burglary.
