Man found breaking into vehicles in Dade County
On Saturday, May 18, early in the morning a Dade County Deputy was called to the Pilot Travel Center on Deer Head Cove Road for a suspicious man the parking lot.
The deputy found the man, identified as Jacob K. Parris, 37, from Duncansville, Pennsylvania. Parris told the deputy he was out of town and had nowhere to go. . The deputy gave Parris a ride to the Sheriff’s Office Lobby and provided him with food, water, and temporary shelter until he could find somewhere to go.
While at the Sheriff’s Office, Parris went outside and allegedly entered the vehicle of a Dade County Detention Officer. Officials also believe that Parris then left the Sheriff’s Office and entered at least 4 more vehicles around Trenton, causing extensive damage to at least 2 of them.
Parris was later found by a Dade County deputy at a gas station in Trenton, where one of the vehicles was damaged. He was arrested and booked at the Dade County jail on a $10,000 bond.
