The Georgia Legal Services Program in Dalton is holding a free public forum to discuss unsafe and dilapidated housing, including the effects on renters, their families, and the entire the community at noon on Wednesday, May 15.
The meeting will be held at the Mack Gaston Community Center on North Fredrick St.
Items to be discussed at the meeting will be
- Common housing code violations,
- Landlord and tenant responsibilities,
- Tenant rights,
- And the potential for misuse of the eviction process when tenants demand repairs
The event is an opportunity for Dalton-Whitfield residents to learn more about eviction and how Dalton's lack of housing options impact its residents.
