A traffic stop resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.

Around 11:30 pm on April 27, a Dade County deputy saw a vehicle with no working tag lights traveling on Highway 299 in Wildwood.

The deputy pulled the vehicle over in the area of Hooker Community Church and then spoke with both the driver and passenger.

The deputy found probable cause to search the vehicle, a sheriff's office spokesperson explained.

Inside the vehicle, the deputy found several bags of a substance that tested positive for meth and other drug-related objects.

Both individuals, identified as Joshua D. Anthony and Jonathan R. Jackson, were arrested and booked into the Dade County Jail.

Anthony faces charges of:

  • Possession of Meth with the Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects
  • Tag Lights Required

Jackson's charges include:

  • Possession of Meth with the Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects
