Lake Winnie opens for their 94th season
For the 94th season, Lake Winnie is opening their doors for summertime adventure in North Georgia. It’s a tradition that so many in the area look forward to and have looked forward to for decades.
"Lake Winnie started off as a place for boating and for fishing,” recalled park spokesperson, Talley Green. “And then the boat chute was the first to arrive in the park. It opened in 1927 and it's still a favorite today."
The park has evolved over the years, including the addition of new rides and a water park. But at its core, Lake Winnie has stayed true to its roots.
"Well Lake Winnie is a family park,” said Green. “We're family owned and operated for families. We like to say we've got everything from ages one to a hundred and one. We've got kiddie rides just for the little people, we've got family rides for everyone to ride together. And for those with a little more steam we've got the thrill rides."
There are daily discounts offered to reduce admission prices. For more information about those discounts and general park information, visit their website.
