UPDATE: The rider killed in a two-motorcycle crash on April 29 has been identified as 57-year-old Clifford Douglas.

The crash happened on Signal Mountain Boulevard near Shoal Creek Road around 10:00 pm. 


PREVIOUS STORY: Signal Mountain police say that one of the riders involved in a two-motorcycle crash Monday night has died. The other rider is in critical condition, according to police.

PREVIOUS STORY: A crash involving two motorcycles has shut down a portion of Signal Mountain Boulevard on Monday night.

The Hamilton County 911 call log shows a crash has been reported in the 900 block near CVS shortly after 10:00 p.m.

Police Chief Mike Williams says both riders have been taken to a local hospital.

Chief Williams says all lanes in the area of the crash will be closed for some time to allow police to investigate.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is helping with the investigation.

The names and conditions of the riders have not been released.
