A man is charged with aggravated child abuse for assaulting a child at a local school.

The incident report says on April 18, surveillance cameras recorded 50-year-old Marvin Douglas throwing a child across a room before hitting the child several times.

The report says Douglas hit the child again in front of the child’s teacher.

The report says the teacher reported the incident to the school’s principal who called law enforcement.

After reviewing the video and talking to witnesses, the report says warrants were issued for Douglas’s arrest.

Douglas was booked at the Hamilton County Jail on April 25.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 17.
