Chattanooga police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday on Grove Street near Westside Park. If you have information, you could earn up to $1,000.00.

Mid-morning Monday, someone opened fire on Grove Street.

"We are lucky in that there were no other innocent bystanders that were struck," said Chattanooga Police Sgt. Victor Miller. "There were several bullets that were fired and luckily there were no children were out."

The victim was on a front porch.

"They did disregard the safety of others that were around," Sgt. Miller said of the shooter. "There were other people that were around the victim, however, we believe that the victim was targeted."

Twenty-nine-year-old Antwon Lee was murdered. Lee had a past with crime and gang activity, but that does not make his murder any less serious, nor finding his killer less important.

"It's very important to us as a community and also to his family," said Miller. "You know, you got to think about that. Every single person in our community has family that cares about them, has friends that care about them. So, every case is important to us."

Investigators believe information is out there.

"We believe that not only did people observe what happened and know what happened," Miller explained, "we believe that the shooter or shooters or those who were involved have told others already about this crime."

Whether you know something first-hand or have heard something since, call Crime Stoppers.

"Any information also can include vehicles, what he was doing earlier in the day, even what the suspects were doing," Sgt. Miller added. "We're able to use video and technology and different things like that in order to put all the puzzle pieces together."

This is your opportunity to get paid and to do the right thing.

"The homicide unit has been working nonstop, around the clock," said Miller, "and we will do anything in order to bring this case to resolution."

That includes paying you up to $1,000 Crime Stoppers cash.

Do you know the name of the shooter? Do you know a nickname or a street name? On Monday morning, did they come and go in a vehicle? If so, what kind or color and where is it now?
