Man shoots at wife, prevents her from calling police
An East Brainerd man is facing charges after shooting at his wife, then keeping her from calling police.
According to a report by Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, the wife of Demario Antione Goodwin, Quinntessa Goodwin, told police that Demario came home Sunday evening intoxicated and began hitting her.
The situation escalated when Demario grabbed a small handgun, placed it against Quinntessa's head, and threatened to kill her.
Quinntessa told police that Demario shot at her feet multiple times. When she attempted to call 9-1-1, Demario shot a bullet through her phone.
Demario left the home and was later apprehended by police in his vehicle.
Demario now faces an attempted first-degree murder charge and interference with emergency charge.
