A McMinn County deputy was involved in a crash in Etowah Friday.

McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy said the crash happened on Highway 30 in Etowah around 9:15 pm, and the deputy involved was Deputy Jeremy Harrison.

"Corporal Harrison was traveling eastbound on Hwy 30 when another car traveling westbound turned left into the path of [Deputy] Harrison's patrol car," Sheriff Guy explained.

The sheriff added that everyone involved did have minor injuries and received treatment at an area hospital. 

The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
