UPDATE: Woman 'intentionally' rams man's vehicle, barricades self in home, per sheriff's office
One person is in custody following a SWAT call in Ooltewah Friday morning.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash in the 6300 block of Veronica Drive around 8:30 am.
When deputies arrived, they learned that a woman, idnetified as Telia Faye Moore, had "intentionally rammed" a vehicle that belonged to a man she knew.
The man and children were inside the vehicle at the time.
Officials say she also hit another vehicle before going back to her home.
HCSO SWAT personnel were called to the home because the woman had barricaded herself inside.
Around 9:15 am, SWAT personnel went into the home and arrested the woman without incident.
Moore was medically evaluated by Hamilton County Emergency Services. She showed signs of impairment, according to an HCSO spokesperson.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Moore faces charges of:
- Aggravated assault domestic
- Reckless endangerment
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
She is due in court on April 18.
