Man injured, shed damaged when brakes went out on truck during repair job
A man's repair job wound up sending him to the hospital Thursday after the brakes went out on the truck he was working on causing it to roll backward.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the 6800 block of Weldon Lane around 4:30 pm for a reported accidental injury.
When deputies arrived, they saw that the truck had crashed into a shed. They also found a man suffering from an apparent leg injury.
The man was conscious and able to tell deputies what happened. The sheriff's office said the man's leg was sticking out of the vehicle and was caught between the truck and a tree.
Deputies said the truck struck a fence and a tree before coming to a rest in a shed, which was damaged.
The extent of the man's injuries is unknown at this time.
