Extremely heavy pollen Wednesday and Thursday
The sunshine sticks with us all day. Enjoy it! Winds today are ushering in dry air bringing dew points to the 40s, making it feel less humid. Pollen counts have spiked over the last 24 hours, reaching the 3000s. This will be the case again on Thursday, as tomorrow brings gusty winds.
Today trends warm, with temperatures reaching 80 this afternoon. Winds look light under 10 mph. Heading into Thursday, the breeze will pick up gusting to 20 mph tomorrow. With sunshine early in the day on Thursday along with gusty winds, I expect pollen counts will be extremely heavy again on Thursday.
Rain returns Friday. I'm seeing light rain showers early in the morning by 4AM-7AM. A few thunderstorms will be possible on Friday evening. At this point, it looks like after 6 PM on Friday a few strong thunderstorms can't be ruled out. Rainfall amounts for the end of the week look bring 0.25" to 0.50" through Friday night.
Newest data also brings more rain this weekend. Saturday morning, there is now a better rain chance. We will need to watch for thunderstorms on Saturday, and strong/severe thunderstorms Sunday morning. As new data comes in this week, please check the weather frequently as the weekend gets closer.
