Volunteers build 30 beds for children in need
A non-profit in Chattanooga is making sure kids have a place to sleep.
The local chapter of 'Sleep in Heavenly Peace' build beds and gives them away to kids who don't have them.
On Sunday, 60 volunteers participated in a "build a bed day" at a warehouse on Riverside Drive.
Bob Hirschi, the chapter's co-president, says volunteers built 30 beds in about an hour and a half.
"We've just got tremendous support. We couldn't be more blessed, " Hirschi said.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace's next build day will take place at JFest on May 18.
