Clouds will continue to increase during the day. Temperatures should top 70-72 this afternoon with a southeast wind increasing to 10 mph by 3PM-4PM EDT. Rain will be increasing this evening too. Newest forecast models indicate rain arriving earlier now tonight, which means umbrellas will be needed for the Lookouts Game.

Rain looks to start up across Monteagle around 4PM-5PM, and Chattanooga by 6PM-7PM EDT. I don't see much lightning for this evening either, so this will be primarily rain. By midnight around 0.30" to 0.50" will have fallen, and by 6AM-8AM when the rain exits, 0.5" to 1" total looks very likely, with the highest values across north Georgia and north Alabama, in the Channel 3 viewing area. Chattanooga looks to get 0.50" to 0.75" with this system.

Friday will bring clouds in the morning, with a mix of clouds and sun by Friday afternoon. It will be dry on Friday afternoon and evening too. The good news-forecast models are trending drier for Saturday. Besides an isolated shower or two, much of Saturday will be dry. I've taken down the pop for Sunday too. At this point, there will be a chance for rain in the morning, especially west of I-75. During the day, there will be lots of dry time before rain returns on Sunday evening, mainly after 7PM or so.
