Lee University hosted its annual Great Strides Walk and 65 Roses 5K Saturday.

The race supports research for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

"Great Strides is a key, long-term partnership among Lee University, the Cleveland community, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation," a spokesperson for Lee University said. "We are honored to serve the community members with the disease and their families as part of this caring community."

A spokesperson for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation said over 300 people walked and hundreds more ran.

"We had an incredible day celebrating our CF Community at Lee University," a spokesperson for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation told Channel 3. "In its 19th year, we raised close to $80,000, making the total that the Cleveland/Bradley co Community has raised for CF in those 19 years over $1.1 million!!!"
