Two people are in custody following a pursuit in Dade County Sunday morning.

The Dade County Sheriff's Office said they were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a carjacking in Lookout Valley. 

Chattanooga police said the carjacking happened in the 200 block of Browns Ferry Road around 9:45 am. 

"One of the Road Patrol Lieutenants spotted the stolen vehicle in the New Home Road area after a citizen called reporting a suspicious vehicle/persons coming to her residence," a Dade Co. spokesperson explained.

A brief chase then ensued. The pursuit ended when the vehicle came to a stop in the Ballard Road area.

Dade County said the two people in the vehicle were arrested.
