UPDATE: COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police have arrested a driver who held police in a standoff on southbound I-75 for nearly two hours.

The suspect was believed to be armed and refused to get out of the car on I-75 SB near the Cumberland exit, according to Marietta Police.

The suspect gave up peacefully and all lanes are now back open.

PREVIOUS STORY: Police are currently in a standoff with a suspect who is armed and refusing to get out of a car on I-75 SB near the Cumberland exit, according to Marietta Police.

Cobb County Police said the driver is suspected in an armed robbery at the Walmart located on 210 Cobb Parkway.

According to Marietta Police, a man inside the car is refusing to come out. It is unknown at this time if the person is armed. Cobb County Police, Marietta Police and GSP are responding.
