UPDATE: The Chattanooga Fire Department said they have determined an early Wednesday fire that displaced four people was intentionally set.

Around 5:45 am, Chattanooga firefighters were called to a home in the 2100 block of Taylor Street.

When they arrived they saw heavy smoke and fire on the backside of the home, a Chattanooga Fire Department spokesperson said.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in around 10 minutes.

A CFD spokesperson said, no one appeared to be home at the time the fire broke out, but two adults and two children were displaced. The American Red Cross is helping them.

Damages are estimated at $60,000. No one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
