The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office fired a deputy on Tuesday for "engaging in conduct unbecoming of an officer," according to a press release.

The release says the HCSO was notified by the Chattanooga Police Department on March 23, about an incident behind Hamilton Place Mall involving Deputy Brian Coker.

The release says Deputy Coker was off duty at the time of the "alleged incident."

The release says Deputy Coker was suspended with pay and internal affairs investigation was started immediately after the HCSO was notified by CPD.

The release says Deputy Coker was fired from the HCSO on March 26.
