A McMinn County woman has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and drug possession a domestic incident Saturday night.

Ivy Nicole Anderson is facing multiple charges after shooting Christopher Leon Wagner in the stomach following a dispute at their residence on County Road.

According to court records, Anderson and Wagner were arguing when Anderson shot him in the abdomen. 

Wagner managed to run and barricade himself inside a bedroom and called the police. 

When authorities arrived at the scene, an officer noticed 2 ounces of what was believed to be marijuana and the weapon sitting on the couch. 

Anderson was arrested on the scene; Wagner was transported via helicopter to Erlanger Hospital. 

Anderson faces one count of Attempted Criminal Homicide and four counts of Possession of a Schedule VI for Resale.
